Jokes Around The World

The Energetic Humourists

Jokes Around The World', by The Energetic Humourists (Pauline Cummins, Krijnie Beyen and Tine Munk)

Jokes Around The World is a street project of The Energetic Humourists. People on the street are asked whether they would like to hear a joke, or if they have a joke to tell. Making or listening to a joke enables contact with complete strangers, listening to each other, sharing a laugh and having fun together.

The performance took place as part of Bureau voor Hedendaags Avontuur (BVHA), (Office for Contemporary Adventure), created by Erik Jutten and Ramon Ottenhof. The BVHA examine the form and strategies used in contemporary artworks that have an interest in social interaction, in this case between people on, or around The Lange Voorhout during Den Haag Sculptuur, (The Hague Sculpture) 2007.
